Meteorological systems

Meteorological stations are a crucial piece of equipment onboard. Whilst sailing at sea you must rely on this equipment for a safe navigation, optimal route planning, fuel savings and crew welfare.

Vessels equipped with Dynamic Positioning system make use of wind data in order to compensate for drift. For Offshore platforms/ Oil & Gas/ petrochemical refineries or Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) applications various EX models are available in order to comply with stringent regulations.

AMTS represent a wide range of brands and models, made out of the best materials as stainless steel and powder-coated sea grade aluminum for many years of trouble free operation, not only for maritime use but also on land, at airports and heliports.

Meteo displays

To display actual meteorological parameters a display will be connected to the wind sensor, from where various user selectable parameters can be set.

The TFT-LCD version is not only able to show meteorological parameters but can also act as a universal data repeater as well as wind-force alarm which will activate an alarm in the control room when wind limits are being reached, this will be fully compliant with latest MESQAC regulations set by various international oil companies.

Helideck Monitoring system

A Helideck Monitoring System is designed to measure and visualize all relevant weather conditions in order to ensure maximum safety during helicopter landing and take-off operations on fixed and floating Helidecks.

Our supplied HMS system is applicable on all kinds of helicopter landing platforms, such as en-route (naval) vessel, fixed or floating platforms, buildings (like hospitals), heliports and windfarms, according to latest CAP-437 regulations which requires the presence of a landing status “stop light” indicator on the helideck.

Automatic Terminal Information Service or ATIS can be integrated for a continuous broadcast of recorded “non-control” weather information onboard unmanned offshore or wind energy platforms.

Our system and its software meets the following requirements:

  • The Latest CAA CAP-437 (Standards for Offshore Helicopter Landing Areas)
  • Norwegian NORSOK CAA BSL D 5-1
  • Brasil Normam-27 DPC helideck guidelines
  • Canadian OPEG helideck guidelines
  • Helideck Certification Agency (HCA) as described in Standards Helideck Monitoring Systems Rev8c.

Wave height monitoring

Measuring wave heights are of importance of all work at sea.

If waves are getting too high or wind is getting to strong, it may be necessary to interrupt work. Knowledge of waves and currents is necessary to determine forces on marine constructions and vessels.

Our wave height sensors provide accurate wave height data, visualization can be done onboard or even ashore from where more local wave sensor data can be observed in order to get a general overview by covering a larger area.

This can be useful for oil-companies, weather forecast services, coastguard, dredging and other companies in the maritime industry.

A unique sensor design based on radar technology avoid parts submerged in water which will save significantly on installation and maintenance costs.

Intelligent software makes it possible to measure various wave parameters like: water level (tidal information), wave height and wave period.
