In case of a failure onboard spare parts are sometimes not available at hand which can cause downtime of the vessel.
Depending on the equipment AMTS is most of the time able to perform repairs onboard to get the vessel back on track.
AMTS does have an extensive workshop where all common repairs, adjustments and calibrations can be handled.
We do keep stock of most of the common used parts and when needed we can have the needed part within short time available.
As vessels nowadays becoming more advanced with sophisticated equipment, integration of one system into another is becoming more complex and sometimes challenging to interconnect.
Where analog signals are still present onboard, digitalization is getting its way with signals like NMEA-0183 / NMEA2000 / CAN-bus / J-1939 / Modbus and much more, knowledge of all these signals is a must.
